We want to say a huge thank you to the brilliant team at Phoenix Clothing, a local clothing manufacturer who made us an enormous bespoke triangular net for our brassica bed! After years of patching together nets with clothes pegs, staples, gaffer tape etc we bit the bullet and decided to try to get a net made that actually fits our triangle beds.
It turned out to be a really tricky, time consuming, labour intensive task but skilled machinist Hilary did a fantastic job.
Our kale is now safely tucked up safe from all the cabbage white butterflies whose caterpillars can decimate a crop in a matter of hours!
