Happy Earth Day. It’s looking so lovely here at the Community Gardens, we’ve had a really great family session today (Saturday April 22nd) and everyone has been enjoying the spring colours, sounds and textures. It feels very special being able to spend time in nature exploring and unwinding. We feel very thankful that we’ve got such a special place here, it’s a real haven of nature and of peace and calm.
There’s so much wildlife around at the moment, with lots of butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects appearing, as well as all the spring birdsong. Gardening with nature at the forefront is really important to us and it means we’ve also got lots of plants like dandelions growing amongst the lawns – perfect also for children to play with.
